The response to the FNB statement is as self-serving as is Dr. Joe's statement. They both lack verifiable evidence. Perhaps if the 14 studies are released we shall have a better understanding regarding the Vitamin D requirements, not just for pregnant women.

If Vit D3 is not so important why is the number of Asian Men in the UK contracting Cancer on the increase?

The most important thing to remember is to hear all side of the argument and then make your decision on how you will take care of your own body. We and we alone are responsible to keep our bodies healthy. Read all that you can, decide who you trust, then take care of yourself, no one else can do that for you! I trust Dr. Joe, and believe he truly cares not only for his patients, but the over all health of all people. In my opinion, the evidence is overwhelming in favor of supplementing with Vit. D.
